(Sorry, no japanese version) Taiyou Productions' first game is Pacoman, in homage to the classic PAC-MAN by Namco (as Puckman in 1980). The goal of this project isn't just creating a game from scratch, also making it to be more close to the original game's spirit. There are some differences from Namco's one of course, but Taiyou Productions is trying to respect Namco's original work. Of course Taiyou Productions will not earn a cent from this project, our only goal is to learn and improve our programming, making something fun to play at the same time. Pacoman is now in its third and final public version: FINAL VERSION 20021202, compiled December 2nd, 2002. We have reached to a point when the entire game is playable (including 5 levels! with increasing difficult!). Now you can save your own hi-scores too! Two differente languages (spanish and english) and sound, of course ;). Getting Pacoman is easy. The first you need is an emulator to play the ROM (if you haven't a Gameboy Advance and a Flash Advance). The best around is VisualBoy Advance. In its website you'll find the emulator zipped for Windows under the section 'downloads' (there are versions for Linux and BeOs also). To unzip the file use WinZip, and extract the contents of the zip file to any directory you choose. After that, get the ROM of the final version of Pacoman, here. You can download the first version from here and the second from here too. I would suggest to save it to the same directory where you installed the emulator. When you have them both, execute Visual Boy Advance, and click on File and then on Open. Select the file you just donwloaded before and the game should start properly. If the game goes slowly, try turning off the sound from the main menu of the game itself. You can try to put Frameskip to 1 (Options - Frameskip - 1) and deactivate VSync (Options - Video - VSync) on the emulator options. I hope you don't have any problem and enjoy this version of Pacoman. See you next version! (Thx Kamui for the logo!).
